How to buy and sell on the marketplace
Tenders, offers, auctions and reverse auctions are the core elements of our online marketplace. Premium users are able to search for these elements in the „marketplace“ section or to publish their own tenders, offers, auctions and reverse auctions in the „control center“ section. If a running auction or reverse auction will be changed, the user is asked to inform interested parties about the change. Tenders, offers, auctions and reverse auctions are assigned to the members which created one. There are the four types of elements of the marketplace avalable for members:
Auctions
As a seller you can add auctions to the marketplace by clicking on "Control Center > Your Offers". On this page you can see an overview of your own auctions or offers on the marketplace. You can edit, unpublish or delete existing ones. To add a new auction you can use an existing one as template by clicking on duplicate or you can add a complete new one by clicking on "add new" in the top right corner or bay clicking on "Add new offer or auction" at the bottom.
If you add or edit an auction you see a form. Here you can enter details of the items you would like to sell on the market. With the fields title, short description, Keywords and category you can describe your item. The content of these fields will also be used for search. So you are well advised to describe your goods as accurate as possible. The fields county, zip and city are needed to locate the position of your items and are used for circular search. If you wouldlike to add a new auction it is importand to chose the type "auction". After that you have to enter a duration while the auction is published. Once the auction is published it is not possible to change the duration of the auction. You also have to enter a start bid. The last option is to attach form one up to five attachements to the auctions details. Possible formats are jpg and pdf. This is usefull for products specifications or pictures.
If you would like to see the status of your own auction you can search in the control center section for one of your auctions. Then you have to click on the title to enter the detail view. Here you can see the history of bids and the persons which have placed a bid.
A published auction can be changed until the suggested „bids period“ has started. During the „bids period“ and after its finish, an auction can not be changed anymore.
As a buyer you can search for auctions in the marketplace section. There you have to click on "Offers" to reach the overview of auctions and offers. To place a bid on a auction you have to click on the title of a auction to enter the detail view. In the detail view you can place your bid.
Offers
As a seller you can add offers to the marketplace by clicking on "Control Center > Your Offers". On this page you can see an overview of your own auctions or offers on the marketplace. To add a new offer you can use an existing one as template by clicking on duplicate or you can add a complete new one by clicking on "add new" in the top right corner or bay clicking on "Add new offer or auction" at the bottom.

As a buyer you can search for offers in the marketplace section. There you have to click on "Offers" to reach the overview of auctions and offers. If you are interessted in an offer you can contact the seller via the "Send message" button in the mini profile on the right.
Reverse auctions
As a buyer you can add reverse auctions to the marketplace by clicking on "Control Center > Your Tenders". On this page you can see an overview of your own reverse auctions or tenders on the marketplace. You can edit, unpublish or delete existing ones. To add a new reverse auction you can use an existing one as template by clicking on duplicate or you can add a complete new one by clicking on "add new" in the top right corner or bay clicking on "Add new tender or reverse auction" at the bottom.
The advantage of reverse auctions is for buyers that sellers can underbid each other. The bids are only visible to the
publisher of a reverse auction. They are not visible to the bidder. The bidder can only see the cheapest offer but not which person has placed it.

The publisher of the reverse auction is not obligated to give the order to the cheapest bidder.
